Salcombe Jute-Trim Slip-On

Half espadrille, half trainer. The Salcombe takes the braided jute midsole from a traditional summer shoe and sets it over a white rubber outsole, so you get the look without the flat, thin ride that comes with the original.

The upper is soft suede with a low-cut vamp and no fastening. Elastic gussets sit at both sides, giving as you step in and closing back around the foot. A small heel tab helps them on without stretching the collar.

Inside, a woven canvas lining runs the full length — breathable, and comfortable enough to wear without socks through the warm months. The footbed is lightly cushioned rather than moulded, keeping the whole shoe light on the foot.

Made for the months where nothing needs to be formal. Tailored shorts, chinos rolled at the hem, or linen trousers in the evening.
